This is a random sample of work I produced for various internet businesses, and one short fiction piece. Sadly, due to the transitory nature of business messaging, most of the copywriting I've done is gone from the internet. Some of the work on this page I've recreated from notes, some of it was rescued from the Wayback Machine. I'm happy to discuss all of it in detail, including method, goals, and how I prepared to write each.

VMware vRealize Automation video script
Leading virtualization and cloud computing software provider VMware wanted a video to promote their software development suite. The challenge with such technical writing is to find a way to make the viewer care, and not just list the features.

BigDownload.com article: Are Video Games Good For You?
From 2008-2015, BigDownload.com was one of AOL's video game blogs, a spin-off from the popular Joystiq.com. I wrote many think pieces for the site, with a focus on different aspects of video game culture. The answer to the title's question might not be what you expect.

BloodRealm video game quest script
BloodRealm was a popular Facebook game, set in an epic fantasy universe. I provided scripts for many player quests, all written in a bombastic, fiery style. I really enjoyed the opportunity to let loose and push my creativity, finding ways to turn simple quest goals into fun, blood-pumping calls-to-action.
Short fiction: The Smiling Man
I was one of several writers invited to participate in creating a shared-world collection of short stories called Fog City Nocturne, available on Amazon. Set in post-World War 2 San Francisco, these were detective stories with a noir sensibility. My story was adapted into a short film, which you can watch for free on the Kelp Entertainment site.
